Campaign: Cat Behavior Q&A Event Promotion

Event promotion assets designed to help cat owners learn from a behavior expert and encourage community participation.

The Goal

Create a clear and engaging set of materials to promote a free community event hosted by Billerica Cat Care Coalition (BCCC) featuring cat behavior expert Dr. Rachel Geller.

The campaign needed to communicate key event details while also encouraging cat owners to attend, ask questions, and learn more about feline behavior.

My Role

Led the design and production of promotional assets supporting the event announcement and outreach.

I designed the printed event flyer, social media graphics, and a website banner used to promote the event across multiple channels. I also prepared the final print-ready files to ensure accurate color, layout, and production quality.

Working from initial event information provided by the organization, I collaborated with the team to refine and edit the copy so the messaging was clearer and more engaging for potential attendees.

Approach

The focus of the design was clarity and approachability. Community events often need to communicate several pieces of information at once — event details, speaker information, and registration instructions — while still remaining easy to scan.

I structured the flyer to emphasize the event title and speaker first, followed by the essential details such as date, time, and location. Visual elements like the speaker photo, color accents, and supporting graphics help create a welcoming tone that reflects the community-focused nature of the event.

A QR code and website link provide a direct path for attendees to find additional information and livestream details. Supporting social graphics and a website banner extend the promotion across digital channels while maintaining a consistent visual style.

Impact

The final materials provide Billerica Cat Care Coalition with a cohesive set of promotional assets to help increase awareness of the event and encourage participation from the local community.

By clearly presenting the event details and highlighting the opportunity to learn from a cat behavior expert, the campaign helps make the event approachable and accessible to cat owners seeking guidance.
